campus Player Ethan Brown hopes to exit the stage and ente r the world of.. . Real Life Drama Campus Playe rs has had a long-standing tradition of providing an outl e t for students who are involved in thea ter art s. Membe rs hav been ac tive in plays and musicals . often taking leading rol es in thes produc tions . One m ember of the organization has had a diverse history of involvem ent on the Harding stage. Ethan Brown . a g radua te student from Iowa City, Iowa . was recogniz d by fe llow student thespians and by drama professor Morris Ellis . as an "ideal student actor." His variety of tal ents allowed him to b e involved in nume rous Harding productions . inc luding Homecoming musicals and several plays . A ltho ug h his acting abiliti es w ere his most obvious thea tri ca l contributio n . Brown was also a playwright. He wrot e a one-act play , entitl ed Fidelity, whi c h was produced o n campus and presented a t a fes tival in Conway . Ark .. last fall. "It is a com ed y. and it's funny .. . or at least I think it's funn y," Brown said . Others seemed to think so too. as was seen in the good reviews Fidelity received at the festival. Ironica ll y, Brown made no plans to head to Hollywood or to find the lime light of cente r stage. Inst ad. he has chosen to focus his tal nts on real life drama . "I want to b e a missionary , preferably in Africa ." he said. "Drama is used a lot in A fri ca and I think my experi ence may be a use ful tool the re.
