THE BENEFIT OF TEAMWORK The purpose of the Interclub Council (ICC) is to benefit the entire student body by bringing all the social clubs together. Consisting of all club presidents and vice presidents, the council worked to provide leadership for the social clubs. Sponsoring cleans, Peggy Huckeba and James Anderson, administered the organization. ·'ICC is the governing body for everything that goes on with clubs ," Huckeba said. Controversial topics were discussed by the students, who then made recommendations to the deans , who could often approve the recommendation on the spot. If there was a problem, however, the final decision was always made by the deans. The council worked together to make improvements and changes for the benefit of all clubs and the university as a whole . Dawn Spell, GATA club president, said, ·"We threw ideas up in the air, had discussions and debates about them, and tried to decide on the best possible solution for eve1yone. '' ICC's Executive Council was made up of three men and three women. It served as a communication link between the ICC and Harding's administration , and made emergency decisions . Executive council members voted on inductees and served on a task force during pledge week. Kim Baker, Chi Omega Pi's president, said, "ICC meetings were a good way to get to know the concerns of the administration and the opinions of the other clubs ." - Alla Casey "ICC is the governing body for everything that goes on with clubs.,, Stacy J-J~fle11 cmdjerre Glouer visit tl'ith Dean Peggy Hu ckeba in ha qffi'ce.
