CHRISTMAS FOR HI LLBI LLI ES Tri-Sigma Delta enjoyed a different type of Chri tma party this year, a "Hillbilly Christmas." Tara Smart, a junior from Bullard, Texas , said, "We wanted to pick a theme that was unique instead of just the plain old Christmas theme. The hillbilly idea made it kind of like a count1y Christmas." The party was held at Wyldewood Retreat Center. Partygoers went dres eel in ragged clothes, bar feet, straw hats and blackened teeth. Julie Marcangeli, a junior from McAlester, Okla., said, "Dressing in costume allowed us to let loose and have fun. It was a more comfortable setting, especially for people with dates ." Decorations helped set the scene. Tree trunks served as tables , and ch ckers were plentiful. Activitie included a slide ·how, a three-legged rac , a wheelbarrow race , gift giving, the passingthe-lit aver-on-the-toothpick gam , kiss and tackle, and entertainment by the beaux. Michelle Shaver, a freshman from Valparaiso, Ind. , said, "I really liked the theme of Hillbilly Christmas. People really got into the spirit of it. We had so much fun dressing as hillbillies and just goofing off." Lisa Miller, a freshman from Worden, Ill. , said, "It was funny to see everyone dressed up. We played a lot of fun games, and I really enjoyed the slide show. The beaux' entertainment act was great.
