Through its emphasis on leadership, service and friendship , Circle K International is dedicated to the realization of individual potential. Because of its world-wide scope, Circle K has taken the lead as one of the world 's largest collegiate-level service organizations. Circle K has many objectives which emphasize the advantages of democracy and provide the opportunity for leadership training . The organization reached these through various service projects. Harding's Circle K chapter painted the playground equipment at the Home Economics department 's Child Development Lab in October. They received Circle K Seizes Service Opportunities some extra help from a visitor who belonged to the Key Club, the high school equivalent of Circle K. According to Robin Pierce, the visitor heard the project announced in chapel and wanted to help. The group has assisted the Searcy Kiwanis club with such projects as cleaning highways , holding fund raisers, providing recreation for students from the Sunshine School, and shopping at Christmas for needy families. In 1991 , the chapter's first year, they raised more than $3,000 for Yugoslavian missions. Circle K members are associated with local business people through the Kiwanis club.
