Members of Youth Corps, along with other subsidiaries of the Timothy Club, took time out early in the fall to focus their goals for the yea r. Concerned with providing service opportunities for students inte rested in learning and experiencing the art of youth ministry , Youth Youth Corps Reaches Out Corps teamed with Tentmakers andAlpha Chi Malachi for a weekend retreat at Camp Wyldewood. Amidst the fun and fellowship , speakers Joe Beam and Stanley Shipp offered instructional tidbits about various ministry concerns and helped set the tone for the year. Youth Corps kept its 80 members busy with several activities, including Project Outreach, a program involving the formation of relationships with teens in Searcy; Women 's Fellowship , which incorporated faith building and faith sharing for women in area churches; the formation of Joyfu l Hearts, which introduced students to clown ministry; and the Spring Lock-In , which, according to sponsor Dan Stockstill, emphasized fellowship , fun and faith. Operation Youth , another Corps project , provided hands-on opportunities for members to assist churches with their youth ministry programs . ''With Operation Youth, we placed 12 teams of students in the congregations in and around Searcy. This was beneficial both to our students and the congregations," Stockstill said. Stockstill emphasized that membership in the Youth Corps was nonexclusive. "We do not accept just youth minist1y majors. Anyone interested in what we 're doing can get involved.
