Redman Does ]ob Joyfully Harding University has a wide variety of staff members who worked hard and diligently to keep the campus looking its best this past year. Although sometimes not recognized nor given enough credit, these individuals qeserved the highest regards of praise and commendation. One such individual who needed to be recognized was Norma Redman. Mrs. Redman, a member of Harding 's housekeeping staff, worked readily this year to keep Pattie Cobb donnito1y looking good. Up and clown the stairs she climbed, stopping at each floor and performing her various cleaning duties. As Mrs. Redman put it, "The worst thing about my job has been climbing the stairs!" Although she lived in Pangburn, No1ma reponed to work Monday through Friday at 5:00 a.m. She usually worked until 1:00 in the afternoons. With three years completed in May, Mrs . Redman was one of many individuals who worked long and sometimes undesirable hours. When she wasn ' t cleaning,Mrs. Redman said she enjoyed singing with her daughter. She and husband , Wayne, have three children. One of them attends Harding. Mrs. Redman said the thing she liked best about her job at Harding was the environment, especially the people. - Jan Bonds Norma Redman vacuums the lobby of Pattie Cobb dorm. Ms. Redman served as a friend and a lways took time out for an encouraging word or la ugh with students.
