Tri Kappa Trying new things might summarize 199293 with Tri Kappa social club. Holly Hilton, president, characterized the club by saying, "They're daring, not afraid to try something different." They branched out from the usual events and on a whim hosted the first John Travolta film festival. According to Hilton, it was an event too much fun not to be repeated. Pledge week contained special projects for the pledges to grow closer. Pledging activities included cleaning the Associated Women for Harding house and planning a dinner for the members. As every year, Tri Kappa and their brother club, Kappa Sigma , started the year off right with a barbeque at Riverside Park. Recognized in club sports, Tri Kappa placed first in B-team football, second place in Ateam football and second place in B-team softball for large clubs. Among service projects, Tri Kappa donated funds to the Shannon Romine scholarship fund.
