Mandy Crider and Keri I lurch ison keep one another company as they press toward the goa l. Bo th Crider and I lutchison made All AJC ancJ°All District. The Lady Bisons are gerting started on the right foot. This season they \\ 'On rheir seventh straight ritle. Winning the AIC and District 17 Championships , the Lady Bisons picked up their seventh consecutive conference championship. They finished 24th in the nation and had five mnners make All Conference/All District. The Lady Bisons were led by junior Shauna Queen and sophomore Ketty Jensen in the conference meet. Queen ran an 18:48 to put her in first place with Jensen close behind with a 19:43 for a second place finish. Harding's senior Edna Duran placed fourth, junior Keri Hutchison, fi fth, and juniorMandy Crider, eighth. These were the five All Conference/ All District runners. Queen served as the number one runner for the team. She finished 32nd in the nationals. Coach Ted Lloyd felt her best run was at the University of Missouri-Rolla meet where she ran 11 the best race of her collegiate career. 11 Duran, Jensen and Crider all had season high performances at this meet. Hutchison's season was plagued with an ankle injury which kept her from competing part of the time and slowed her down when she did compete. Her stamina was exhibited when, even with ankle trouble , she placed in the top five in the conference race. The team placed sixth in the 13-team meet at the University of Missouri-Rolla, and they won the Harding Invitational meet. 11 The Lady Bisons ran a real strong race at the conference meet , 11 Coach Lloyd said. 11 They were the dominant team alJ through the conference (season), 11 he said. -- Vicki ] ackson Athletics 123
