PIED PIPERS: Theatre Group Entertains Most people wish at some point in their lives that they could be young again. The Pied Pipers get that wish granted again and again as they travel to schools and churches sharing love and laughter with the young and the young at heart. The Pied Pipers were an imp r o visat ion a I theatre troupe who sang and performed skits with a basic moral message. Children's eyes lit up with excitement through the performances and even adults in the audience could be caught getting with the spirit. Piper Stacy Harris said, "During a show it's hard to believe that we are actually 11 mature college students, g but we have so much fun on s a children's level that we~ get caught up in it." ~ ("\ c: Piper Angie Treat added, ~ "Pied Pipers allows us to do := what Jesus said about be78 ORGANIZATIONS coming like a child. Looking at the world through a child's eyes is so wonderful. It puts everything in perspective." Piper Malinda Moses said, "I like Pied Pipers because it lets us share the love that God has given us with children." An example of that special role Pipers play in the lives ofmany children is the story of one young boy. He laughed along with the other kids and spent time talking with one of the Pipers afterwards. As they were leaving, a teacher came running up to tell them that the little boy had been quiet and depressed since the divorce of his parents. The Pipers had helped to bring him out of his shell and he had begun to open up to his teachers. The Pipers say that situations like this made the long hours of work and travel worth every minute. This unique group also continued to follow the advice of a special five-year-old friend: "Y'all keep sharing those hugs now, y'hear?"+ - Stacy Gaskin PIPERS AT HOMECOMING.
