EDUCATION: Honor Society Prepares Teachers As a college community, we heard of many Greek letter groups and clubs. Most of us may associate Greek letters with social clubs, but there are other groups as well which possess Greek letter names. These include various academic-related honor societies. One such honor society which has been at Harding for a number of years was Kappa ·Delta Pi national honor society for education. There are certain requirements which must be met before being invited to become a member. These included declaring the intention of becoming a teacher, and having completed 60 hours with a .3.0 GPA or better. Kappa Delta Pi participated in numerous activities on local, regional and national levels. In April, the sponsor Dr. Wyatt Jones took a few of the officers to the 1992 national convention in Memphis, TN. The members were able to listen to lectures given by nationally known speakers in education.
