CAMPUS LEADERS It's been said that any group is only as successful as its leaders, and the spiritual activities on campus were no exception. No student could enjoy the peacefulness of a devotional at B-Rock or the encouragement of the student lectureship if no one took the time to plan, coordinate and lead the activities. Each spring, Regina social club nominates the senior men and women who they feel have best exemplified the character and spirit of Christian leadership for the Regina Spirit Award. This year the student body voted Debbie Bitting and Desmond Peterson as its recipients. Bitting, a special education major from Santa Paula, Calif., has been at Harding since the fall of 1987. During her years at Harding she was actively involved in Shantih social club (where she served as devotional director), JOY service club, Conquerors and the Big Brother/Sister program. Peterson transferred to Harding in the fall of 1988 from Michigan Christian College and has since actively participated in the Youth Corp, Knights social club, the Crew, student impact and in the Lily Pool Devotionals. Both these individuals gave much of themselves to others during their years at Harding; and, in so doing, have personified - in the eyes of their peers - those ideals that we each striven to attain in our own Christian lives.+ DOUBLE GOOD SPIRIT.
