1991-1992 Yearbook

~p LEDGE ~ Pledge Week. Horror. fear. Excitement. fun. At no other time of the year were dignified members of the student body found on purple crates singing Cutie Pie songs or draped in togas "getting down" at the breakfast table! Tiring, embarrassing, but "oh-so-memorable" moments filled the week. Remember asking out that certain guy, writing letters to strangers, calling other people's boyfriends or girlfriends, and singing in that amateur, 'Tmtired-of-this-but-got-to-do-it-anyway' ' voice? Remember Silly Day and the influx of wildly-dressed students doing strange and peculiar feats at the crack of dawn in the cold? Remember the Seminole Step-Show, the Alpha Tau air raids, the bag lady outside the Student Center, and those poor Phi Delta Rats? How about the Knights' Joust, the Shantih Talent Show, or the Regina Beauty Pagent? (What a group of lookers, huh?). How about those obnoxious sophomores who tried to relive last yea5r' s Pledge week or those creative seniors who never seemed to run out of "cool things for you to do today." Remember the exhaustion? The fatigue? But, hey! There's more. Remember the laughter, the bonding, the prayer sessions, the singing, the tears, the hugs, and the friends? Remember the fellowship of club hymns, the unity of shared suffering, and the intimacy of common tears? Pledge Week was crazy, insane, and imperfect; but it was an initiating experience into a world of changes and opportunities that can allow us to better serve God and others.+ - Submitted by Melanie Johnson WHO ME? Tri-Sigs pledge Sara Wilson displays a sign on her head while standing behind a clueless Mark Moore. Silly day brought all sorts of interesting and fun photo opportunities. (Rewritten by Staff) I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING. Delta Gamma Rho pledges Emily Corley and Karen Rinehart are amused with the activities of Silly Day. On Silly Day anything was possible!
