'J\[g,w !Faces and!fresli Ideas Unsure about leaving home and starting anew at Harding, but certain of their excitement, the freshman class of 1991-92 arrived on campus to take a huge step in their lives. The freshmen brought new faces and fresh ideas of unity together and quickly became a functioning part of the Harding spirit. -..... -~ 0 0 C' '< ~ <'. s: :t ;;· 7" 3 Q) ? men had found their niche. The fun and enthusiasm began with Student Impact, as the freshman class cut loose and had a great time during the few days before school started. Impact was simply an opportunity to enjoy new friendships and start placing FRESHMEN CLASS OFFICERS. Vice-President Leanne Putnam, President Michael Brooks, and Secretary-Treasurer Julie Plemons represented the freshmen class. The freshman class officers, Julie Plemons, secretary-treasurer; Leanne Putnam, vicepresident; and Michael Brooks, president; worked to be an essential part of the Student Association. The officers performed whatever activities they were asked to, such as promoting spirit with banners and flyers for Homecoming week, and other special S.A. activities. The officers also promoted semce by collecting money for overseas mission work. names on the countless faces, a seemingly impossible task for the first few weeks. It wasn't long, however, until the freshman class began to make its impression on Harding. Some students found a standing with one of several semce organizations on campus, such as "The Crew. " Others provided immediate assistance to Harding's varsity athletics. By the conclusion of pledge week, nearly all of the freshSoon the unsurety faded into security and even though homesickness was sometimes a serious depression factor, the freshman class of 91-92 found Harding a great place to be.+ - Michael Brooks Kristen Banta - Parker.
