Harding Security: Serving For Safety Traditionally, Harding's security team has been plagued with misconceptions concerning its role in university activities. Craig Russell, a Harding security officer since 1989, felt the worst part of his job was writing tickets. " Very few of us like writing them, " he said. " In fact, every once in a while we receive threats from upset students. Overall , though, the students at Harding are very cooperative and easy to get along with. " Russell, who works full-time from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., observed that the one thing which needed changing most concerning Harding's security was "the students' attitude about what security' s role is. We aren't here to give anybody a hard time. We're here to help, not to hinder." + - Kevin L. Kee
