A Bold New Look Begins In 1992 UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Even though it was an inconvenience, the remodeling of the Student Center evidenced ttarding's growth. The Hammond Student Center wilJ have a whole new look next year. Renovation and construction began after -.:: ::r 0 the Thanksgiving Break and wilJ end before the 1992-1993 school year begins. The contractor for the project was James H. Cone. ~ Some of the new fixtures will include ~the completion of the second floor ~and a stairwell for the bookstore. On ~ the second floor, there will be six · classrooms added. There will also be more office space added for Student Affairs, the Bookstore and the S.A. Office. Shores Chapel will be refurnished as well. On the first floor, the post office will be expanded to accommodate more students and to improve traffic flow.
