Hard Work And Commitment Pay Off The 1991-92 Bisons had an up and down season, finishing with an overall record of 12 wins, 17 losses. The team suffered heartbreaking losses to Arkansas College and Hendrix College but were able to rebound and finish the season with an impressive road win over Arkansas Tech University. - by Thomas Nesbitt with .32 points in the game against UA-Monticello. In the game against Arkansas College, Ronnie Brothers, a junior transfer, tied the Bison school record of the most three-pointers in a single game with six. These three players and the rest of the Bi· sons, except for senior David Collins will be back next season. The season-ending-win against Tech was the highlight of the season. Harding had not beaten Tech in four years. The Bisons went into the game as the underdog but came out the winner. The Bisons had to play without their leading scorer, Thomas Nesbitt, but a great team effort produced the win. Each time that Tech challenged the Bison lead, the Bisons elevated their level of play. All of the hard work, commitment, and losses paid off. An season Collins, a 6-6 four year letterman from Valley Springs, Ark., averaged 9 points and 4.5 rebounds a game. His talents as a Bison forward will be missed. long the guys never quit playing. -Coach Nicky Boyd frustrating - The Bisons displayed a "neversay-die" attitude from the beginning to the end of the season. Coach Nicky Boyd summed the season up after the victory over Arkansas Tech, "Not many teams end their season with a win, and we did. I am very proud of the way the guys played withPersonal achievements included career high scores in a game by Morris Williams with .31 points against Philander Smith and out their leading scorer. It was a great team effort; I couldn ' t be prouder. All season long the guys never quit playing.
