Nationals-1st Time In History Tremendous talent and ability along with the persistence of a hardworking team proved to be plenty for the Lady Bisons to have a spectacular season. Not only did they finish with a record of 11-1 in conference play and another AIC championship, but for the first time in Bisons played some tough and trying opponents. They included North Florida, BYU of Hawaii, Hastings and Southwestern of Texas. The Lady Bisons' victory came against North Florida. history, the Lady Bisons made it to the NAIA National Volleyball Championships. At nationals, the Lady Bisons finished with one win and three losses, and they placed 13th overall. Just being one of the 20 out of .3.30 NAIA teams was a great honor. Before advancing to the actual nationals, the Lady·Bisons had to win the Bi-District play-offs. They defeated their opponent, Rockhurst College from Kansas City in three straight This team's high spirits allowed The Lady Bisons' dedication and constant practicing certainly paid off. Their regular season record was .38-12, and their only loss in the AIC was to Southern Arkansas. The Lady Bisons won several tournaments and had two players named all-conference and alldistrict. They were Tammy Kodatt and Susan Humphry. for fun as well as competition on the court. -Coach Karyl games. Regarding the Lady Bi- Bailey The Lady Bisons of this season left some big shoes for future players to fill. They will be remembered as the first Lady Bison volleyball team to go to sons' performance, Coach Karyl .. Bailey said this was "absolutely one of the ~ best matches all year." From Kansas City, the Lady Bisons traveled to Hays, Kansas, to begin their NAIA National Volleyball Championship games. The Lady nationals.
