During pledge week, three new members were inducted after many grueling tasks and activities that proved their worthiness of being in the club. During the fall semester Theta Tau was involved in both football and softball. During the club football season, Theta Tau obtained victories in all A, B, and C team divisions for the championship. To celebrate the Christmas season, Theta Tau opted for a "Hayride-Sleigh ride" theme. Jn addition to several social activities, Theta Tau took time out to get closer to God through devotionals shared with other sociaJ clubs, including Tri-Sigs. Theta Tau served the Lord in several ways, but also in a way that can be easily overlooked as a service to God. This was done through weekly prayer group meetings. Helping the community is important, but Theta Tau realized their power to help each other through prayer. The members tried to meet once a week to share events taking place in each others lives. The prayer meeting aJso consisted of a devotional thought usually presented by a senior. Craig Copeland summed up his feelings about the prayer groups. ' 'Our prayer groups have strengthened Theta Tau spiritually as our sports participation has strengthened us physically." And on personal JeveJ he said, ' 'J've grown myself by being abJe to help my felJow brothers in Christ through prayer. As PauJ Hillier, a junior Bible major from Ringgold, Louisiana, stated, "Theta Tau is a group of laidback guys wanting to have a good time while serving the Lord.
