Cfii Jt{pfia !l(fio Growing Spiritually And Socially Chi Alpha Rho social club enjoyed a very successful year. founded in 1977, the club's motto is, "No one is too small to help a friend." This motto was reflected in their service project. Chi Alpha Rho's main service project was the Adopt-a-family program. The club chose a family in need and then purchased groceries for them. Peggy Baird, club president, said the goal was, "to serve our community and show our Christian Jove." Billie Brooks was impressed with the Adopt-a-family program. " It gives our club an opportunity to reach out to others. We would like to learn how to serve others better and give them a glimpse of how Christ can work through us." Chi Alpha Rho kept the words of their club scripture as they served others: ' 'Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord" (I Corinthians 15:48). Michele Stein mentioned that the club wanted to give a needy family a nice Thanksgiving dinner. "Our club was united with the goal of serving in mind." Carrie Blodgett agreed that the project benefited the club. " Gathering the food brought the members together and made them focus on serving others." With attitudes like this, Chi Alpha Rho social club grew closer to one another in the past school year. As Kim fancy explained, " I think the club is growing spiritually and socially. I have seen something in the club this year that I have never seen before." + - Laurie Simmons AIR RAID. Pledge week was four days of weird and wacky fun.
