A LOT TO SMILE ABOUT. Senior Travis Buzzard jokes and was accepted to the University of Arkansas' Medical around in the student center with Senior Matt Miller and School in Little Rock. Travis was a member of Alpha Chi Buzzard leads active college career Being a Biology/Pre-Med major, it does not seem like one would be able to have a "real' ' life outside of class AND be able to maintain a good grade point average, but Travis Buzzard was able to do both. Buzzard, a senior from Bald Knob, Arkansas, carried a full class schedule and was still able to maintain a 4.0 GPA. "At times it has been difficult to keep up with everything, but it has all been worth it. Some of my classes have been tough, but they have been good preparation for med school," Buzzard said. Buzzard was accepted to the University of Arkansas' Medical School in Little Rock. Since coming to Harding, Buzzard had earned several prestigious honors. Buzzard was elected Vice-President of the American Studies program and he also received the Carr Christian Service Award in 1990. Buzzard, a member of Alpha Chi was also actively involved with other clubs on campus. He was a member and Vice-President of the Seminoles social club and the Vice-President of the Devita biology club. Buzzard's activities did not stop there however. He was also involved with sports. "It may not seem like it, but I am interested in things other than academics!" "What makes Harding the best university ever is the people. You can go anywhere to get competitive classes, but only at Harding do you get the warmth and love that will make lifetime memories. In the long run it's your friends that count."
