Griffin was crowned homecoming queen during chapel on October 26th. On stage with Griffin were the other queen nominees, Laura Cobb and Susan Carroll. Griffin is from Searcy and was a junior elementary education major and a Bison football cheerleader. The Griffin family also had another daughter chosen as Harding's Homecoming Queen. Griffin's sister, Kim Mote, was chosen homecoming queen in the fall of 1986. "The best part of being chosen homecoming queen," Griffin said, "is that I finally got to watch an entire football game, but there was part of me that wanted to stand up and cheer for the team. The best part of the game was that we won and that made it very special for me." When Griffin looks back at her college years, she will remember the fall of 1990. She will remember being on stage and hearing her name called as Harding's Homecoming Queen. She will also remember her family and friends that shared her time of joy. by Michael Johnson ROYALTY REIGNS. Lori Griffin is escorted in chapel by Lance Rogers.
