Final Impressions What a year t his has been!! I'm sitting in the office t hinking about what to say about these last t wo semesters that have affected all of us in so many different ' ways. I've t humbed through old yearbooks to see what previous editors have said on the staff page, but nothing even comes close t o what we experienced together this year. I What a challenge we had before us. But we t ook on that challenge and we were committed t o getting the job done. Kristin , you were definitely the social , butterfly of the group. Your bubbly spirit ' always livened things up. And by the way, was t hat brung or brought? Leslie, your dedication was incredible and I appreciated that. I know your job , wasn't all t hat glamorous, but nevertheless it was important. Sweet, sweet Leah, the crisis is over. Thanks for adding your special touch to the sports sect ion. I want you to know that you will NEVER understand boys. Jayne. I know you are graduating this year and I want to wish you the best of luck. Thanks for all your hard work and please don't let anyone else ride on the hood of your car! Mark, t hanks for being organized and taking care of the seemingly endless group pictures, t hat was a job. I wish you all the be_st . "The Executive Office of Kara Dickerman" was a phrase I read daily on the chalkboard in your little corner of the office. I know we've had some tough times over this book. Thanks for sticking it out and being sweet. And no more whining about not having a boyfriend. My dear Juanita, I know you didn't have a very glamorous job, either, but it did not go unnoticed. Thanks for persevering and making a pretty dull section a little more interesting. By the way, be in by 11! Trish, you were amazing! You got more than you bargained for with this job, huh? Well, you did great and I appreciate all that you've done, you were a good example for the rest of us. Much happiness to you and Mike as you begin your lives together in June. Best of luck in everything. To my photographers: Brian, Jim, Jonathan, Mike and others, without photos the yearbook would be nothing more than just a bunch of words. Thanks. Mom and Dad, thanks for making it possible for me to be at Harding in the first place, I love you both very much! Jack, without you I could have never done it! You taught me so much and you always seemed to make things a little easier. I could always depend on you to make me laugh even on the worst of days. And I will always cherish my memories of the Washington trip. Especially the waitress at Hard Rock Cafe, and the interesting Tshirts on display in the subway. Thanks for everything. WHAT SHALL I DO NEXT? Section editor Kristin Holst decides her next step during a Saturday work day. The Petit Jean staff worked several Saturdays in a row to complete pages for the book. photo by Anissa Campbell Anissa, that leaves you (or should I say Paulette?) What can I say but thanks. You were busy, but you were always right there whenever I needed you for anything. No matter what kind of stupid things that I always managed to get myself tangled up in you were always patient with me and never thought less of me because of it. I know you will be successful in what ever you decide to do because of your intelligence, charm and your dedication to God. Next year this copy block will be written by you. I know you will have an excellent book and remember I will be right here if you need me, for whatever that's worth. We will never forget Greenella (the Cape of Good Hope), the love pumpkin, or the incredible hood slide off of Jayne's car. I love you, you're the best! These next few lines are written with all of you in mind. I wish you all the very best the world has to offer. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication, and most of all just thanks for sticking by me. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel right now. I feel a sense of accomplishment, a sigh of relief, and a little empty. But most of all I feel happy and proud because personally I think we did GREAT! YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING!
