Student Services JOY, VISA, SA, ICC, and FACT worked to help the student body and University The student body had the benefits of several service organizations on campus, including the Student Association, FACT, ICC, JOY, and VISA. The SA under, the direction of Susan Vaughn led the student body in many activities during the year. This student government brought activities such as movies, concerts, and parties to the students. Some of the big hits were Vince Andrews' show, Restless Heart, 1964 as the Beatles and comedian Henry Cho. The SA also supplied the Christmas lights on the front lawn. The ICC, under the direction of Dean Butch Gardner, had the purpose of providing overall leadership for the social clubs. The ICC served as a liaison between the administration and clubs. The group was used to make suggestions to the administration about discipline and policy. 296 Bonded Impressions . VISA - Volunteers in Support of Admissions-was a group of student volunteers who gave their time to help the admissions staff. They made phone calls and did the everyday activities of recruiting prospective students. FACT - the Future Alumni Communications Team-was a group that worked with the alumni office and Alumni Association. These students helped on and off campus events such as the President's Council Meeting, Lectureship, and Homecoming. JOY was a well-known service organization on the Harding campus. Their motto was "Jesus first, Others second and Yourself last." They were split into several committees which served the campus and community in various ways. by Mark DeYoung FACT.
