They Did It Again! Lady Bison Volleyball Team kept their title for the second consecutive year. Once again, they dominated the conference 11-1. As Stephanie Dempsay said, "We had a lot of pressure on us to come back and defend our title! But we did it!" The team consisted of three seniors, four juniors, two sophomores, and three freshman. Stephanie Dempsay, Kelly Willingham, Carolee Musick, and Susan Humphrey showed leadership which had a big part in the team's success. Ever since these girls began playing for the Lady Bisons, the team has competed for the AIC championship; however, this year was special. Not only did they win the title, but the Lady Bisons hosted the district playoffs for the first time ever. The Graduate Assistant Todd Humphrey was coaching the girls, making the moment even more memorable. Several of the players commented on the unity of the team. They worked well on and off the court. "We all got along really well and that helped the success of the team tremendously! We really had a strong team that not only gave all they had but worked together while doing it. You have to be "unselfish" to play volleyball and all the girls certainly followed through with this term. We wanted to go all the way this year and we definitely had fun doing it!" said Stephanie Dempsay. Coach Karyl Bailey said, "These girls really hate to lose!"
