Bisons Close With A 6-4 Season Bisons football team finished their season with great success, although they were unable to reattain a tie for first place in the AIC. This year, they tied for third in the AIC with conference record of 6-4. The game most dominated by Harding was in Jackson, TN, where the bisons stampeded Lane College in a 38-0 victory. The most disappointing game was played against the University of Central Arkansas. As the entire campus prepared with teeshirts and the "running of the of the game ball" from Conway, hopes were high for a big win against a close rival. These hopes were sadly shot sown by the UCA Bear's victory of 10-6. Homecoming was also a time of high hopes, but these finally paid off. After two consecutive losses to UCA and Quschite Baptist, Harding defeated the University of Arkansas-Monticello by one point, 10-9, in an action packed display of athletic ability. Individually, Harding was successful also. Many players were placed on the All AIC teams. The first team included Brent Goodwin as punter, Mark Thomas as place kicker, Lance Rodger as defensive back, Patrick Gill as line backer, Kenwick Thompson as defensive lineman, and Eric Cook as kick- , off returner. Playing on the second team were Chris Citty as tightend, Chico Ford as offensive lineman, and Darrell Biggers as running back. Coach Larry Richmond stated, "I'm very proud of this year's team. They've played well and I look forward to working with those returning." - Josh Harrison Scoreboard HU Opponent 24 Arkansas Tech 10 6 UCA 10 7 Quachita Baptist 24 19 U of A- Monticello 9 3 Henderson 13 29 SAU 14 200 Rival Impressions LISTEN AND LISTEN GOOD.
