.Qe8ina 8pirit Award 0tudent body selects most spirited seniors T he student body selected John Ogren and India Medders from a list of candidates as recipients of the Regin·a Spirit Award. Ogren, senior, was from Bloomington, Minn. He majored in Political Science. A transfer from Abliene Christian College, he served as codirector of Student Impact during the Fall, 1989. He was very active in his social club, TNT. He also served as beau for Zeta Rho social club. During the spring semester, Ogren spoke at the student lectureship and continued to lead singing during Mike Cope's Wednesday night Bible class. Ogren's response to the award was, "It's an honor. All the girls in Regina have been very spiritual and it makes me feel great to have been nominated." Medders, a senior from Resaca, Ga., was an English major. Upon graduation in Decemher, she planned to spend time in the performing arts. Afterwards, she hoped to teach. She was a member of Ju Go Ju social club and served as president. During her years at Harding, she was selected as a Chi Sigma Alpha queen and served as Spring Sing hostess for two years. Medders also performed in three Homecoming musicals. She held the leading role in the "King and I" and "Carousal". In response to her nomination Medders said, "I am so thankful to the girls in Regina who were so kind as to include me on this list of people up for the award." - G. Shawn Morgan KILLIN' TIME.
