- .Who's Who Cheatham stays busy during senior year ' 'A ctivities are sometimes the best way to learn. Don't get so involved that you don't have fun or your grades suffer. You can go to college anywhere, but you should make Harding an experience," said Craig Alan Cheatham, student body president. Cheatham has indeed stayed busy since his arrival at Harding in the fall of 1986. He has worked on several Student Association committees since his freshman year. Although Cheatham was a prominent figure on campus, many students never had the opportunity to get to know him. Just who was Craig Alan Cheatham? He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, Ala., and came to BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD. Craig Cheatham, senior, and Mark Hodges, senior, spend time working on the Bison. - Photo by Wayne Westerholm. Harding in August. Rather than live at home and go to Faulkner, he chose to go to Harding because, as he put it, "You learn a lot more when you get away and meet new people. That's a lot of Harding. Arkansas is a distant land for most students, and it's a challenge." His senior year at Harding left him with very little free time, but he liked that. Cheatham served as student body president, which alone would keep most people busy. He was a member of TNT social club, a beau for Zeta Rho social club, and a member of Alpha Chi honor society. He also served as a layout editor for the Bison and worked 23 hours a week for Harding's telephone service. He stayed busy with Zeta Rho. Cheatham joked, "Zeta Rho kept me very busy. There were only 18 teams in volleyball, and they kept winning!" - G. Shawn Morgan WHO'S WHO. Don Alan Frost, Mark Hodges, Craig Cheatham, Bobby Bluford. - Photo by WHO'S WHO.
