1989-1990 Yearbook

Endless Hours!!! Well guys, it's finally over. The "1990 Petit Jean" phase of our lives has come to pass. It passes with feelings of relief, accomplishment, and a touch of remorse. We have all added a piece of ourselves to this project. This cover holds much more than words and photos for those of us who spent so many hours on its production; it holds countless memories. I pray that your memories of being on the staff are cherished as a part of your life at Harding. My dearest Kimberly, I couldn't have asked for a better assistant. You have stuck by me when the days were long and the nights were short. I admire you for your diligence and selfesteem. Sharon, thank you for teaching me so much about yearbooks and editorship. I know that this has been a tough year for you. Jeff, Thanks for the assistance that you gave the photo department. You had a tough job and you did it very well. I wish you and Julie all the best as you begin you lives together in May. Lilli, I know this has been one of the busiest years of your life; thank you for sharing part of it with me. You have been a splendid roommate and a good friend. Thank you for having patience with me when things got so hectic in both of our schedules. I know that you will be an excellent teacher someday! Melydia, you have been one of my greatest encouragements. I could always count on you to make me feel better about myself and my work. Thank you for being there for me as an editor and as a friend. Janelle, I know this has been a busy year for you. I appreciate the dedication you had to the biggest section of the book. You have been an asset to the book for two years; they will miss you next year. Shawn, I know you got yourself into more than you bargained for this year. Thank you for sticking to your commitment with the book. Shannon, you have made me laugh so many times this year. Our bulletin boards would not have been nearly as interesting without you. I wish you all the best as you make decisions about your future. Randy, you too, have made me laugh. My "music vocabulary" has never been this complete. Thank you for your own bits of "student life" that you added to the office. Brian, thank you for catching our mistakes. You were the perfect person for the index. Thank you for being so precise. Jack, you have been such an important part of my education at Harding. Thank you for helping me through my many "crises." You are a wonderful teacher and a good friend. Phillip, perhaps most of all, I thank you for our friendship. You have had to be both an editor and a therapist; you have filled both roles well. Thank you for always being there for me when I needed you the most. Mom and Dad, it was your love and encouragement that ultimately got me through this "project." Mom, thank you for making you family your career. I feel so fortunate to have had a "full time" mom who was always there to build me up. Dad, thank you for your wisdom and perspective when I let my priorities get out of order. I love you both. In this office, we have laughed, we have cried, we have learned about ourselves and each other, we have made memories. I wish all of you happiness as you discover your "endless possibilities." I love you all, Jennifer Staff Page 331
