1989-1990 Yearbook

- "Many people wonder how such a big club can be close, but we have developed a relationship with each other that's based on the love of the Lord." - Kelley Young TNT and Zeta Rho maintained their relationship as two of the closer brother/sister clubs on campus through many planned activities together. One such activity was the clubs' participation in Spring Sing '89 with their show, "We'll Light Up Your Life, Cosmos Stars Do." The incredibly colorful show took the second place sweepstakes award. TNT's spring semester continued with spontaneous "mass dates" and participation in all big club sports. They ended the year with their annual banquet. Zeta Rho sold carnations on Valentine's Day to raise money for sending children to Camp Wyldewood. Those carnations also decorated the College Church Family Life Center for the club's Valentine party. The fall semester brought TNT and Zeta Rho back together for a devotional at Camp Wyldewood, a skating party, and a Halloween party. TNT memhers enjoyed a hayride and a stag outing to Camp Tahkodah and, in the spring, participated in Spring Sing and had another banquet. Zeta Rho teamed up with local businesses to stage a bridal fashion show. The fall event raised money for the Searcy Sunshine School. When mixers were finally over, 24 Zeta Rho "zugs" proved for a week how much they wanted into Zeta Rho. "Being able to work with this year's pledge class was a great experience," said spring Zeta Rho president Tamara Shaddox, who was in charge of pledging. " I was so excited to see their enthusiasm in making old Zeta Rho traditions better and even starting some new ones." A month later these new members enjoyed the Zeta Rho Christmas party at the Excelsior Hotel in Little Rock. TNT president David Vaughn said, "The diversity of the guys in TNT really has let me expand my perspectives and horizons while growing closer to the Lord." Fall Zeta Rho president Kelley Young said, "Many people wonder how such a big club can be close, but Zeta Rho members have developed a relationship with each other that's based on the love of the Lord." - Phillip Tucker Front row: Laura Williams, Jennifer _Byrnes, Monica Chapman, Lori Ward, Ingrid Cho, Julie Adams, Cinnamon Wilson, A'Lana Dean, Esther Pipkin, Cheryl Risner, Krissi Alexander, Julie Sloop, Kristi Martin, Christy Tucker; Second row: Angie Stipp, Amy Beck, Tracy Kibler, Angie Britton, Crystal Moore, Kelly Manley, Andrea Crawford, Debbie Hendon, Julie Huffman, Darah Tate, Katie Burright, Stephanie Bailey, Missy Pickens, Donna Chapman, Susan Vaughn, Sally Diehl, Carol Hendon; Third row: Kristen Pittman, Lisa Goottee, Camille Coleman, Jennifer Swinea, Renee Webb, Kathy Meadows, Laura Meadows, Becky Boaz, Janet Reed, Stephanie Kramer, Sharon Way, Vanesas Diles, Jenny Crooper, Cheryl Shelton, Torrie Hickman, Ronda Mullen, Kay Simpson; Fourth row: Missy Mulhollen, Julie Ford, Marsha Vaughn, Renee Williamsen, Lori Rose, Jenny Randolph, Carmen Newcomb, Jennifer Kendrick, Amy Hutton, Cassandra Jackson, LeAnn Perry, Avery Bonds, Kelly Young, Kecia Adams, Leah Burks; Fifth row: Craig Cheatham, Bobby Bluford, Jana Brown, Katie Terlisner, Stephanie Turner, Sonya Curtis, Kimi Thompson, Penny Irwin, Sheri Johnson, Pam Anderson, Laura Escue, Allison Osborn, Tracy Harrell, Kristie Williamson, Malia Reddick, Chip Arnette, Shawn Pittman - Photo by Sharon Bowles.
