"My four-and-a-half years with Sig Tau have, without question, been the best years of my life. My club brothers will always be a part of me." - Jim Toms ' 'Caring is a hallmark for Sig Tau," queen Christy Spivey said of Sigma Tau Sigma men's club. "They show the spirit of Jesus in all they do." That spirit pervaded throughout Sig Tau and its sister club, Kappa Delta Kappa. Sig Tau's busy spring '89 semester included its first Saint Patty's Day Party and participation with Kappa Delta and four other clubs in their Spring Sing '89 show, "Life in the Fast Vein." . Sig Tau then demonstrated its commitment to service by assisting in Special Olympics and by having its annual "Egg Beg" to raise money for Arkansas Children's Hospital. The semester ended with a formal banquet at the Capital Hotel in Little Rock. Years of characterbuilding seasons finally came to an end when Sig Tau captured the fall small club softball championship. The guys celebrated with a float trip down the Buffalo. After pledge week Sig Tau grew to 52 members, just in time to help a needy family for Christmas through Little Rock Channel 4's "Letters to Santa" program. Kappa Delta's year was eventful as well. The ladies closed the year with a formal banquet at the Little Rock Club. In the fall they played volleyball, then teamed up with Phi Delta to play softball and football. A hayride and Christmas part y rounded out the semester. Sig Tau and Kappa Delta met every Tuesday night for a devotional. Shores Chapel became a popular place as many people from other clubs joined them regularly. Kappa Delta president Chere White said, "Kappa Delta is a small club with a big heart.
