1989-1990 Yearbook

"Sigs is a brotherhood; There is a certain spirit that pervades throughout the whole club." - Donald Robbins Kappa Sigma Kappa and Tri-Kappa set several goals at the beginning of the year , one of which was an increase in unity between the two clubs. Consequently, they began the year with a cookout at Riverside Park to set the tone for an exciting new year. Both clubs participated in fall athletics. Kappa Sigs succeeded in softball in the B and D divisions. Football found Kappa Sigs dominating A and B divisions combining for a 7-0 record. Tri-Kappa went to the championship games in football , finishing out a successful season. The two clubs combined their hayrides in order to continue moving toward their goal of increased unity. Both clubs spent quality time getting to know new members during pledging. Kappa Sigs and Tri-Kappa pledges made the best of their stressful week by getting to know people and having fun doing it. Sponsors greatly helped by being at pledging activities and supporting both clubs in their activities. Kappa Sigs and TriKappa planned other activities together, such as " Mazzio's invasions ," in which both clubs ate together , and devotionals with other brother/sister clubs on campus. The clubs expressed themselves individual - ly, too. Tri-Kappa members enjoyed a Christmas party and Kappa Sigs had its annual "Medieval Bash" in January, always a festive event to get the new semester underFront row: Donald Robbins , Jac k Johnston, Sally Sizemore, Scott Barber, Berney Waite, Paul Hou s ton, Jason Rucker, J.P.
