"Chi Sigs and Regina helped me to keep my heart on heaven and gave me sweet tastes ofit along the way." - Debbie Pierce C hi Sigma Alpha and Regina once again strengthened the bond of friendship for which they are known. The clubs worked together on their traditional service project of caring for the handicapped son of the Schoenburger family. They also worked with the Searcy Housing Agency to develop a plan encouraging children involved in their drug-free program. Chi Sigs competitively participated in all club sports, capturing several championships along the way. Regina also enjoyed participation in almost every sport, including football. At their annual Camp Tahkodah outing, Chi Sigs became reacquainted with each other and shared summer experiences: They then ushered m the change of seasons with a horse-drawn hayride. Chi Sigs members were reunited at a Homecoming breakfast the same weekend bids were handed to 24 pledges. Other events for Chi Sigs included a Christmas party, serenading of the girls' dorms, and the annual spring banquet in Little Rock. Regina enjoyed one of the last warm days of summer at their annual picnic at Petit Jean State Park, and soon after began pledging activities with enthusiasm. Other high points for Regina included a hayride with the new queens, a Christmas celebration, and the spring banquet given in honor of graduating seniors. Chi Sigs and Regina also planned events such as their Thanksg1vmg dinner and a Valentine's Day costume party, as well as devotionals and spontaneous mass dates to campus entertainment. The clubs earned first place in the music category and second place overall with their Spring Sing '89 production, "Let's Paws for a Moment." More importantly, it provided time for the two clubs to grow even closer together. Perhaps Regina president Debbie Pierce expressed the feelings between the two clubs best: "Chi Sigs and Regina helped me to keep my heart on heaven and gave me sweet tastes of it along the way." - Sheila Gaskin Front row: Susan Richardson, Marianne Sassi, Beth Battles, Edna Duran, Michele Phillips, Beth Scott, Kris Falwell, Jill Jordan, Mavenee Mays, Whitney Donaldson, Christy Spivey, Kim House, Amber Owens, Sherry Mullican; Second row: Martha Garrett, Samantha Farrar, Stacie Moore, JoAnne King, Michele Ward, Karen Ritzel, Krissi Dempsey, Jeanette Garrett, Melissa Renfrow, Myca Haygood, Jill Tackett, Debbie Lightfoot, Lori Westbrook; Third row: Miriam Moreno, Tracy Brown, Beth Heffington, Kim Steele, Angie Dixon, April Brasher, Jenny Cole, Deanna Cariker, Suzanne Dunlap, Kamy Smith, Lesli Rider, Janaga Dilday; Fourth row: Faith Seay, Tammy Wilkins, Dusty Goodyear, Tami Brown, Kerry Burke, Katrina Deys, Sheila Gaskin, Kelly Scott, Kelly Cox, Katherine Willis, Kristen San Juan, Kristine Witzeling; Fifth row: Tom King, Christine Langston, Cyndi Sudano, Stacey Clark, Angela Logue, Mindy Raines, Andrea Felkner, Wendy Goodyear, Rebecca McKinnon, Tavia Demspey, Julie Long, Darin Long, David deSambourg. - Photo by Sharon Bowles.
