These words and phrases are capable of standing alone, but come together under the name of Titans, which this year completed its 12th year on the Harding campus. The fall semester brought Titans back to campus in force. The club began the school year with an annual barbecue to get reacquainted with each other. As a service project, many of the members participated in the volleyball marathon held to raise money for charity. While receiving the highest number of first choices of any other club t his year, Titans were fo rced to limit themselves to 27 new members because of the new club capacity rules set by the University. After pledge week, the new and old members enjoyed a marshmallow fight and hayride on one of the few cold nights in November. The spring semester brought Titans together for its annual Ground Hog Day celebration. "While others spend their time celebrating feeble holidays like Christmas and Valentine's Day, we decide to devote our time and energy to the most important holiday of the year - Ground Hog's Day. Long live the ground hog!" said Steven McRoberts, Titans sophomore. This activity included an annual "secret ritual" to commemorate the ground hog. To close down a very successful year, the Titans held a spring banquet in Little Rock. Many Ti tans seniors have watched the club grow from a group of simple club relationships to a group of comrades. "The guys that I pledged with have turned into the guys that I will call whenever I need advice later on in life," said Mike Foster, Titans senior. Titans president Don Alan Frost commented on the year: "I have seen Titans develop into a better club each year. The guys have a relaxed attitude that is like none I have ever seen. I'm proud to be part of this group of guys. They have made what would have been good years at Harding great years." - Mark Hodges Tiffany Cook, Julie Crosswhite, Stacey Faires, Vanesa Diles, Cheryl Risner, Shannon Waggoner, Clint Reneau, Craig Laird, Jim Phipps, Scott Rinehart, Bo Barber, Chad Massie, Dwayne Cox, Hunter Ray, Don Alan Frost, Chuckie Baker, Tom Duncan, Breck Dillard, Chris Randolph, Richie Roberts, Dean Priest, Shane George, Mark Elrod, Shannon Sheppard, Andy Kinser, Bubba Herring, Scott Miller, Scott Whitis, Brian Gainey, Steven McRoberts, Pat McGaha, Lance Boyd, Tim Diles, Hoyt Slad e, Dale Hearn, Todd Gilliam, Jay Shipman, Jason Clark, Robert Dunaway, Lee Hogue, Dwight Mussleman, Jim Hobby, Brent Carr, Shane Nicholson, Damon Littlejohn, Mark Halbert, Brandon Harrell, Trey Chandler, Jim Carr, Shannon Howell, Donny Dillon, Chris Rone, Brad en Ash, Paul Richardson, Darren Shirley, Craig Shadrix, Chris Shadrix, David Watson, David Chesnutt, Bart Jones, Scott Tenery, David Ward, Gray Dillard, David Reece, Matt Horton, David Diffine, Jesse Paul Pollard, Dave Griner, Matt McDowell, Stephen Burks, Andy Sellers, James Gowan. - Photo by Sharon Bowles.
