"One thing I love about Sig Phi is that no matter how close we are, we give each other room to expand beyond the boundaries of our club." - Roxanne Watts S igma Phi Mu began last spring in service. Putting to work their motto, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13), they assisted with the Searcy MADD Dash foot race to benefit Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. A Valentine's Day party at Funtime Skateland and a "Blarny Bash" St. Patrick's Day party also were enjoyed by Sig Phi members. But the finale of the spring semester was the annual spring banquet, held at a French restaurant in North Little Rock. The banquet's theme, "On Vous a la Plage," when translated, means "Let's Go to - the Beach." Fashionable tshirts commemorating the event were seen for weeks afterward. Pledging activities kept Sig Phi busy during the fall semester, resulting in a larger club. New members were able to enjoy a November hayride at Lavon Carter's farm and, in early December, the club celebrated with a Christmas party together at the Wyldewood Retreat Center in Searcy. Sig Phi president Roxanne Watts described Sig Phi by saying, "One thing I love about Sig Phi is that no matter how close we are, we give each other room to expand beyond the boundaries of our club." - Cayelynn Osborne Front row: Karla Fite, Jennifer White, Torrey Gibson, Ashley Dobbs, Shawn Bond, Julie Windham, Christy Campbell, Georgia Cox, Allyson Bills, Angie Treat; Second row: Annette Sproule, Ledena McSpadden, Regena McSpadden, Rebecca Hammond, Cheri Helms, Kellie Brown, Amy Summar, Tina Silvertooth, Deron Smith; Third row: Sharon Gordon, Roxanne Watts, Sharla Hastings, Brenda Bergschicker, Elaina Shearer, Carol Coffey, Manisha Brown, Volyn Simmons, Pam Peachy; Fourth row: Greg Richey, Dianna Jenkins, Latonia King, Beth Miller, Christy Sharp, Kimberly Rowan, Lori Srnka, Michelle Harvey, Karen Adams, Becca Sowell, Todd Stricklen; Back row: Shane Nicholson, Robin Phillips, Chandra Latimer, Ann Blue, Laura Nickerson, Leigh Anne Wheeler, Sandra Peachy, Shanon Logan, Melissa Mullins, Jonathan Orick, Sonja Cornelius. - Photo by Sharon Bowles. 226 Endless Friendships FLOWER CHILD.
