Both Silhouette and Promise had encouraging debuts. Silhouette, composed of Errica Walker, La Mirna Gilbert, Adrian Allen, Missy Green, and Linda Jones, came together to "Bring more unity among blacks on campus," said Jones. Their repertoire included both secular and sacred selections, soliciting invitations for a diversity of engagements. Chapel programs, Christmas parties, and the Searcy celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday were a few examples of their appearances. Whitney Donaldson, Kelly Scott, Samantha White, Kamy Smith, Becky Douglas, and Marissa Thomas were the women of Promise. They began last year by meeting in Kamy's and Angela S. After rearranging "We Are the Lord's Army" for the Regina Spring Banquet, "the Lord opened up doors that we never thought would be opened," said Smith.
