Heritage Inn welcomes guests T he Heritage Inn is proof that a butterfly is not the only object that goes through metamorphosis. Although the upper floors of the building were used to house on-campus guests, the Inn has served as a student dormitory for a number of years. The Inn could house up to 150 guests comfortably. Bill Harris, manager of the Inn, said, "It is primarily for parents of students at Harding University and guests for conferences on campus." Heritage Inn had its first guests on Wednesday, Septemher 28. They were Dr. Leonard Knight, Academic Dean of Michigan Christian College, and Dr. James D. Bean, Dean of Columbia Christian College. "They stayed here the night before the Dean's Conference on Thursday," said Harris. "We pinned a boutonniere to their lapels and placed a bouquet of flowers in their rooms for being our first guests." Four different types of rooms filled the third and fourth floors. Guests could choose a room with a queen size bed, a room with a double and twin beds, a room with two double beds, or the suite with two adjoining rooms.
