After several brackets had competed, the winner from each bracket competed in chapel. The winner from that competition represented Harding in the regional competition. Members of the Forensics Team competed in several tournaments. The categories of the tournaments were poetry, prose, and dramatic interpretation. Some of the members participated in impromptu public speaking, communication analysis, informative speeches, and extemporaneous speeches. They were also involved in debates about contemporary topics. The team was sponsored by Dr. Patrick Garner and included twelve members. They traveled to the University of Missouri-St. Louis and Southern University in Baton Rouge. In late February the team traveled with Jack Shock to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs for a debate and individual events tournament. - Lilli Carlton Campus Players, Forensics, Dactylology, SSHA. 127
