The Data Processing Management Association, according to sponsor, Jimmy Behel, "provided computer science majors with the opportunity to experience professional organization software development and data processing." The group made trips to Federal Express in Memphis and to Dillards in Little Rock. The Intercollegiate Business Team allowed its memhers to use their instincts to help them survive an imaginary business competition ordeal. These "made-up" competitions provided a way for business-related majors to deal with problems that might occur in their working field. Each member was assigned a business problem that required a solution at the end of the semester. -Carmelita Bandy Intercollegiate Business Team, DPMA, American Studies. 115
