H arding had three volunteer groups on campus that helped make acti vities run smoothly. The first was F.A.C.T. (Future Alumni Communication Team). This was .a group of students who worked through the Alumni Association to set up activities for Harding Alumni. F.A.C.T. was a link between the Alumni, the university, and the present students. V.l.S.A., FA.C.T., Student Association The members of F.A.C.T. were present at many activities. Their responsibilities included contacting Alumni about such activities as homecoming, parents weekend, and the Black and Gold banquet. Another body of volunteer students was V.I.S.A. (Volunteers In Support of Admissions). These students helped in the recruiting of prospective students for Harding. This group had no governing body. All were volunteers that worked through the Admissions office to help with student hopefuls. The members of V.I.S.A. took the prospective students on tours of the campus and to various campus activities. V.I.S.A. was also BRIGHTEN THE CAMPUS. The S.A., under the direction of Mark Moore, raised over $1000 to purchase over 1 mile of Christmas lights. The third group was the S.A. (Student Association). They represented the student body in the decisions made for different activities. Different committees decided on entertainment such as concerts, movies, and other special activities. "We also sponsored things that went on around campus such as the Christmas lights project, the halftime basketball presentations, and the movies on the weekends." said Student Association President Mark Moore. -Mark Thomas FRESHMAN TALENT.
