The health of others was a great concern for some students. Harding Student Nurses Association (HSNA), Sigma Theta Tau, and the Dietetics club all concerned themselves with other people's heal t h. Sigma Theta Tau was the national honor society for nurses t hat required its members to have baccalaureate degrees. Members included faculty, students, and practici ng nurses from Searcy. Under the direction of Dr. Beth Wilson, t he Dietetics Club had several activities. In the spring t hey did lead testing of ceramic goods and pottery. Attenders brought their lunch in a bag and learned about Cholesterol. They received low cholesterol recipes and menus while watching a visual presentation. HSNA, under t he direction of Dr . Cathy Shultz, also helped the community and t he student body. Their main project was during October when t hey helped with Wellness Week. They set up booths in t he student center and checked blood pressure, blood sugar level , and cholesterol level. Shannon Morris, president, said, "Working with the Wellness week was great.
