elationships at Harding are lasting ones because this university has so much more to offer than just chapel, curfew, and cafeteria food. As freshman and transfers, ~ we all had to find our place to fit in. While we were busy studying for tests, pledging our clubs, writing term papers and checking our oftenempty mailboxes, we somehow managed to find the time to build friendships. Some of these friends are teachers, sui- . temates, desk workers, or the cleaning lady in the dorm. One aspect of our friendships is that we were all leaving. Good-bye~ were always difficult, but a real friendship will not dis~ppear. From Student Impact to Graduation and beyond, it's good to know that the closest of these friends were people for keeps. -Janelle McFarland 222 People for keeps FRONT LAWN. "Studyi;ng" on the front lawn was a relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Students brought their blankets, pillow, and of course their books to tackle the mounds of homework. -Photo by Sharon Bowles.
