1988-1989 Yearbook

BETA PHI B eta Phi Kappa has been a part of the social club scene for 34 years. Though the smallest men's club with 28 members, Beta Phi had an eventful year. The year began with a 40 percent increase in membership by the end of pledge week. Weekly devotionals helped to unify the club, while other club activities provided fun and competition. Competing year-round in all sports - softball, volleyball, basketball, and swimming - kept the members on the go. Other major club functions included a hayride, St. Patrick's Day party, and a Spring Banquet. Traveling to Little Rock, the club held its Spring Banquet at the Legacey Hotel. Wade Bray, senior Beta Phi member, said: "I like being in a small club - you're more able to be yourself. Beta Phi has the unique quality of bringing together people from diverse backgrounds and unifying them through a common bond in Christ." -Monica Bagley CONGRATULATIONS.
