T he boast of being the only co-ed social club on campus belonged solely to Echad. Their name, Hebrew for unity, set the standard for club members. Membership nearly doubled during Pledge Week when the club took six pledges , increasing their membership to 16 men and women. Special club activities included a hayride and a Spring Banquet. They also had weekly devotions held in Shore's Chapel. Spirited emphasis in the club added t o the special unity the club had. The club began four years ago with t he motto: " I often wondered why someone didn 't do somet hing; then I remembered that I was someone. " Service to others has always been a priority and continued to be this year. Club members joined together to serve the widows in the local area and to work with the students at the Sunshine School. Through club activities and service to others, they managed to successfully achieve the unity their name stands for. -Monica Bagley ECHAD - Front row: Jana Amason, Doug Moy an, Tena Brooks, Tammy Johnson; Second row: Regina Duwe, Ken Kyle, Paul Brooks; Third row: Douglas Pace, David Buskirt, Kris t ine Pas kavich; Back row: Beth Stevens, Jeff Terwillinger, Randall McLeod. - Photo by Sharon Bowles.
