KARE TA M embers of Ka Re Ta showed their fun-loving spirit in all activities as they developed long lasting bonds of friendships. Ka Re Ta participated in all club sports showing good sportsmanship in everything from basketball to volleyball. The year began with a barbeque and the traditional hayride in October. This was an event which helped welcome the new pledges into the club after having survived as a "krud" during Pledge Week. This was followed by the annual Christmas Party held at Mrs. Harris' cafeteria. The spring semester, included the "Just Roman Around with Ka Re Ta" valentine's party. Also members joined GATA and Sig Phi Mu in "Painting the Town," in Spring Sing 1988. The year ended as the women attended "A Midnight in Paris" banquet at L'Auberge Restaurant in Little Rock, followed by an evening at the Arkansas Symphony. Their service projects included visiting the Sunshine School to help with the children and adults who attend the school. Although Ka Re Ta has only been established for nine years, it has proven to be a beneficial asset to Harding's campus. It has provided its members with support and happiness as well as many memories to take with them.
