"The final verse of our club song begins, 'Love is the golden chain that binds the happy souls above.. .' In Ju Go Ju, each of us serves as a link in our chain of love. A flood of purple balloons and jerseys on the front lawn caught the attention of everyone who attended. To bring the returning members closer together, before Pledge Week, Ju Go Ju "camped out" all night in front of the TV in Sears Lobby. This was an activity where all the girls tried to stay up all night but slowly the number decreased as they discovered just how comfortable the dorm beds were. Shortly after Pledge Week, Ju Go Ju and their brother club, Galaxy, returned to Little Rock for an afternoon of worship and fellowship at Pinnacle Mountain. The sports scene provided both enjoyment and recreation for members and spectators alike. With dedication in their hearts and true grit underneath their fingernails , the women of Ju Go Ju participated actively in all sports. With this feeling, the ladies fared exceptionally well, winning football championship, "B" team softball in the spring, and "B" team second place in the fall. Social life and fellowship were a main focus in the spring. The women of Ju Go Ju , with Galaxy, sponsored their Valentine's Day bash at a skating rink. When the spring temperature was bearable, Ju Go Ju also with Galaxy attended several afternoon cookouts at Wyldewood. Later in the semester, the club travelled to Little Rock for the spring formal which was held at the Little Rock Country Club. A long standing and famous tradition of Ju Go Ju is sponsoring the wrapping of the may pole in the May Fete celebration. The club participated in several service projects throughout the year. In the spring, food and clothing were collected and distributed to needy families in the community. An activity that always proved to be fun and profitable was the annual Galaxy and Ju Go Ju Banana Split Sale, in which funds were raised to support our missionaries in Italy.
