"Lambdas is realizing the strength ofa small club this year, which is the increased closeness that occurred with smaller numbers. We are moving as one and making the friendships that will last for a lifetime." Lambda Sigma. They were a small club made up of people from various backgrounds yet they seemed to be a solid club. This came about through a lot of hard work on the part of the members, past and present, and the sponsors. Scott Burleson, a senior member, and president of Lambdas said, "The club is more of a unit now than any year I've been in it." This work seemed to have paid off. Last spring, Lambdas were champions in ' 'N' and "B" teams basketball and small club track. The small club "B" team All Sports trophy also went to them. Lambdas ended out the year with a spring banquet at the Legacy in Little Rock, AR. The hard work seemed to continue through this year as the club voted on their new motto, "Triumph Through Togetherness." They then quickly made their way through to take small club ' 'N' team football championship. The club tried to continue their "Triumph Through Togetherness" by having at least one major activity a month, plus other minor activities. These activities included a cookout at Heber Springs, pizza parties at Mazzio's, several devotionals, intraclub games and tournaments, and a Christmas party. Marc Brackett, an upperclass member said, "The closeness that exists in the club has helped to improve not only interclub activity, but has contributed to each member's personal growth". Pledge week for Lambdas held many memories for members, even though membership slightly decreased. Pledges were noticed by their "Lambda Walk," in which the pledges walked single file and chanted at the tops of their lungs, "Lambda Walk, Lambda Walk." Lambda Sigma65 Single Clubs
