Encouraging outside work and enrichment of students remained vital to the success of the School of Education. These teachers believed in practicing what they preached. All teacher education students who graduated from Harding with certification are required to take the National Teacher Examinations (NTE). Harding had 100 percent of its graduates pass the test. The performance of the students on these exams was again among the highest in the state. Not only did the students study to increase their knowledge, but professors did too in order to remain current on theories and philosophies in their field. In order to be the best educator one can be, one must constantly continue their own education while passing their knowledge on to others. Dr. Wade Bedwell served on the Checking it over.
