A model for integrating faith, learning, and living, the week was highlighted by displays, films, and speakers in physical, social, mental and spiritual wellness. Much of that week was due to the extra efforts and hard work of Dr. Lewis Moore who emphasized that "Caring is our Career!!" V. Pfeifer, M.Div., M .Th., directed the School of Biblical t Studies, providing administrative as well as spiritual guidance. One special program on the agenda was participation in the annual Bible Lectureship at Harding. Jarry R. Long, Ph.D., director of summer sessions has enjoyed being a part of the Harding family. "My colleagues are fine Christians who help me be a better person, and in the same way the students are good people who make me want to work harder." 7hi s year Dr. Durward McGaha made a career change from director of career planning and placement to serving as the vice president of educational services. He also received the Meri,torious Services Award from Arkansas AACRAO. McGaha attended many professional meetings this year of The American Association of Registrars and Admissions Officers, which was held in Las Vegas in April and Hot Springs during May. ohn M. Nunnally was in charge of "anything that smells like a computer" as director of the adminsitrative computer center. He said he liked President Burks' idea of integrating faith and learning. Nunnally said, "We are doing our best to update the computer system here on campus to follow Burks' idea. I feel good about the way things are going." r. Harry Olree commented on his position as athletic director, "Intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the education process. It is a pleasure for me to be part of a program which provides the opportunity for over two hundred students to participate yearly in a Christian environment."
