The Lady Bisons were a young team having only two seniors, Beth Shanklin and Sheri Clements, however they showed their strength on the court. Not only did they advance to the district tournament for the second season in a row, but they towered over teams at tournaments. The Lady Bison's participated in three tournaments; the invitational tournament, the CBC tournament, and the OBU tournament placing second, third and third respectively. "Our tournaments really helped us because we had a higher quality of competition which improved our skill level;' said Sheryl Green. The team finished the season by losing to Arkansas Tech at the district tournament held in Conway. "We lost because our communication level on the court was low and we did not have confidence in ourselves; however we still had a few good moments during the match," said Tracy Hinton. Improvements had been made to raise the level of volleyball to surpass any opponent . 'We are making teams think twice before they played us because we no longer were beat in just three straight games;' said Shanklin. <Jff!> 64 Volleyball
