The reputable Titan toga's were ever present on campus as they "got down'' for all the girls dorms after curfew. The toga tradition has been with Titans for years. The men were very involved on campus. They chose to help raise money for Dean English in Scotland. Capturing the feeling of "fun" in the air, the men of Titans set out to help the Academy with their County Fair in November. Pledging proved to be very profitable according to junior Randy Wood, "We had a great recruiting year, the new guys along with the older members have made an excellent year for Titans:' Caught up in the excitement of pledge week, the pledges participated in a treasure hunt and were able to share their varied talents in a talent show. The end of pledging was marked with a Mazzids pizza party. The spring brought about enthusiasm in the sporting aspect. The men rallied together as they excelled in "B", "C" and Titans "D" team basketball. They participated in the swim meet, club track and field and softball. The sporting enthusiasm carried through the fall semester as they took an active part in softball, football, and volleyball. The year was filled with a variety of activities which included a spring banquet at the Little Rock Club, a Christmas party at Shroeder's, a float trip down the Spring River and the traditional Tahkodah camp out.
